Cedar Fair's Carowinds amusement park offers added entertainment for the entire family with Howl-O-Fest, which is daytime fun geared toward the family, and SCarowinds, which offers a frightful night of fun for the older crowd.

Carowinds Daytime Howl-O-Fest is G Rated Daytime Family Halloween Fun

Visit Carowinds with the whole family while enjoying the extra fun offered during the 2009 Howl-O-Fest on Saturdays and Sundays September 26 through November 1 from 12 noon until 5 p.m. Visitors do not pay an extra charge – this is included free with the regular Carowinds admission price. The Howl-O-Fest replaces Carowinds’s previous Nick or Treat. Carowinds is now offering a new Boo Pack 4-pack for $99.99 for admission in the daytime on October 3, 4, 10, or 11 only.

Activities for Howl-O-Fest are geared toward the younger kids and tend to be G rated. Kids can trick-or-treat in various areas throughout the park or share their singing abilities with Kiddie-oke. Fraidy Cat, the Boo Blast mascot, will appear at the puppet show. Test navigation skills in the hay bale maze. For those who don’t mind getting a bit soapy, the foam zone is sure to get everyone laughing and perhaps a bit wet. Check out the talking pumpkin named Peter along with lots of other Halloween-themed fun. Howl-O-Fest offers a costume parade and contest for visitors. Careful costume selection is recommended if kids are going to be riding the rides and walking at Carowinds. Items carried into the park are searched before entry for safety reasons.
