A list of five of the best amusement parks in America.

Here is a list of just a few of the best amusement parks in the US. These theme parks range from water parks to roller coaster parks from all across America.

What's the determining factor for these selections? The rides and attractions! All types, styles, sizes and themes. These parks offer a variety of entertainment for all ages; roller coasters, water rides, shows and many other attractions. They are great for a fun family adventure!

Walt Disney World- Orlando , Florida

The Disney World Resort has four theme parks and is one of the most popular and most visited theme parks in the world. It has it all: water parks, concert venues, restaurants, shopping, endless rides and amazing parades. The four parks include: Magic Kingdom with the famous Cinderella Castle and Main Street U.S.A., Epcot with the landmark Spaceship Earth, Animal Kingdom which offers up close and personal interaction with a variety of exotic animals and Hollywood Studios which has Hollywood style action with live shows, attractions, backstage tours and special events.

Cedar Point- Sandusky, Ohio

This super fun theme park is 364-acres, has 15 rides, ten shows, a water park and seventeen roller coaters. Other greatrides include Mean Streak- the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in the world and the Top Thrill Dragster which drops 400 feet at 90 degrees all in only 17 seconds! Talk about a thrill ride!

Schlitterbahn- New Braunfels, Texas

This incredible water park has 40 rides, 17 slides, nine tube chutes, uphill water coasters, three lazy rivers and over three miles of tube rides. There is the older park, Schlitterbahn West, where the classic rides are and the newest park, Blasenhoff, with super fun, super mind blowing water rides!

Busch Gardens Williamsburg- Williamsburg, Virginia

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is beautiful to look at. It is very well maintained and has a uniqueness all its own. This theme park has ten sections known as hamlets, inspired by European countries from Scotland to Germany. This park is very impressive along with the rides like Griffon, the world's tallest and fastest drive machine coaster. It also has great entertainment shows themed around the countries that are represented at the park.

Kings Island- Mason, Ohio

This amusement park is expansive with 364 acres having 80 rides and attractions. It has 15 roller coasters. The one known as the Beast is the world's longest wooden roller coaster. It also has King's Island waterpark as well as Nickelodeon Universe, an award winning kid's theme park.
